Our Vision
We are committed to steadfast and continuous growth of our Church Family through
- the teaching of solid Biblical Doctrine
- the frequent fellowshipping of the body
- the observation of Biblical ordinances
- the prayerful support and encouragement of one another
- a commitment to meet the physical needs of our community and our church family
In order that we might remain in one accord, firmly focused on the work of our Saviour, seeking the salvation of others, for the honor, glory, and praise of our Lord Jesus Christ
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18
What We Believe
- We believe in Jesus Christ as the virgin-born Son of God. We believe that his sacrificial death on the cross and subsequent resurrection bring redemption and hope to every penitent believer. He is the Lord of our lives and Head of our church.
- We believe that the Bible is God's word to man and that it is the only sufficient authority as rule of doctrine and practice.
- We believe in a regenerated church membership and that the conversion experience is a pre-requisite to church membership.
- We know that the New Testament records Baptism by immersion only and that it symbolized the heart of the Gospel message--death, burial, resurrection. We recognize no other mode or method of Baptism.
- We believe in the New Testament ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. These are the ordinances of this church and no others can be added. New Testament christians were baptized before taking the Lord's Supper.
- We believe in the right of each member of the church to voice participation in its government, plans and discipline.
- We believe in the freedom of the individual conscience; in the voluntary principles, not the coercive principle in religion.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

If You Were to Die Right Now, Where would You Go?
If you were to die right now,... We all face the stark reality of death. Most of us put those thoughts somewhere else than the forefront of our minds. It's as if because we don't think about it, it just won't happen. The world has a saying, "There is nothing certain but death and taxes". Humor me,... If you were to die right now, and you found yourself standing before God,...When He asked the question, "Why should I let you into MY heaven?", what would you say? If your answer centers upon what you have or have not done in your life, how good you've been, how your parents were fine upstanding Christians, or that you were born in a "Christian" nation, then Jesus didn't even really have to come to earth. If you could obtain salvation through your works, there would be no reason for calvary! Scripture tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9(KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to pay for our salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:21(KJV) tells us," For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Jesus took upon Himself the sin of the entire world and paid its wages. Romans 6:23(KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
If your answer centers upon Jesus Christ and His finished work, then you can say along with the song writer, "My faith has found a resting place, Not in device nor creed; I trust the Ever-living One, His wounds for me shall plead. I need no other argument, I need no other plea; It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me." It is through the sinner's prayer that a personal relationship with our living Lord is established. "Dear Jesus, I see myself a sinner. I realize I can't save myself. I ask you to come into my life and save me. Forgive me for my past and guide me in the future. Amen"
If you prayed that simple prayer, we'd love to rejoice with you. We also have some material that will help you as you begin your new life with Christ. Please contact me personally at pastor@crbc-ak.org. May God bless you!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10
